One Week Gone, and One Year as Well!

Well my family, friends, and others who will receive this on the later Blog. Another week has come and gone, they are flying by faster than a breeze on the wind. My goodness I only have 9 weeks left! I remember thinking of this day when I was just a Greenie in the mission. Thinking that it would never come, and now, it´s here! But I will say, it has been a fantastic mission, and I will honestly say, that none of you will recognize me when this is all done.

So let´s get on with the week. So to start off we cut our baptism that we were going to have for this week. He was giving us a lot of problems and we figured out that he has lied to missionaries for the past three years, so we won´t spend anymore time with him anymore.

We were able to find a young boy who is 14 years old named Bruno. He is super cool and apparently he has talked to me in the past, but I have never seen him before. But it´s all cool, he wants to know about the church, so we are going to start teaching him this week. So that should be great.

So another thing that happened this week, is I did my first division with my distrcit. We were able to find some new people for them to teach this week. One who is wanting to find a new church, so he should go well with the missionaries there.

Another cool thing that happened this week. Some of you probably couldn´t tell because of the intro, but I am now 20 years old and something, or actually someone who I got to see who really made things special for this week. Is I got to see my first friend that I made when I came to João Pessoa. That´s right! Elder Goodwin came back, or actually just Brother Goodwin now, came back to visit João Pessoa. It was cool to see him and I will post some photos of that as well for this week.

Another Week has Come and Gone!

What´s up everyone! Another amazing week has passed and we had some good results this week. Let me count them down.

So to start off we had our District Counsel this week. I gave a training on how to leave good firm commitments that our investigators will want to follow. My District is an area of a lot of rich people and it is very hard to get them to keep commitments. So we gave that little training and now things seem to be going well for them. I also gained a new area in my district this week. Elder Saldanha my old companion and District Leader and his companion Elder Scott are in my District now. So we are going to see what happens with that this week.

So we had a visit with our friend C again this week. He is doing really well. We were finally able to mark a date for his baptism. He is going to be baptized tomorrow we hope, we will call him tonight and get all that worked out. If it isn´t tomorrow then it will be thursday.

We also had a new investigator show up as a surprise. His name is J V. He has been coming to church for a while now. He has been enjoying it a lot and wants to be baptized. But the problem is, is that his mother is not wanting that so much and isn´t letting him. So we have to work with her so that he can be baptized. But it should go well, I have faith that it will.
