My life has been saved!

Wow, this week was really stressed out, but in the end it was well worth it!

To start off the week we didn't have much go on, Tuesday we were in the area of our Sisters again, helping them out with one of their investigators, the life of being the companion of the District Leader, which is a job I might be living in a couple of days, but I am excited and ready for it.

Then on Wednesday we had Zone Conference, which was lit, because I got to see my Pai again and talk with him for a while. It was a really good conference, probably the best I have had here in the Mission.

Thursday and Friday we didn't have much success in our work and one of our half baptized people doesn't want to be confirmed anymore so that was a bummer. But something that happened that was good was what we had on Saturday, we found 4 new investigators and all of them were at Church on  Sunday. We also had one of our old Baptisms go and was manifested to receive the Priesthood this next Sunday when our Bishop gets back from His vacation.

That's about it for the week. Sorry I'm writing this so late, but I was in the Hospital all day today, and had no time to do anything, it's because I finally fixed a pain, that's been paining me for my entire mission, but everything is going great now, I'm paining a little but it's just a little pain for a lot of relief. My message today I actually found from hearing a talk from President Eyring. He was giving a talk about mountains to climb and referred to something that I thought was very interesting and helped me out a lot. He was talking about how we have many trials in our life but that all of the bad, and trials that we are having will be for our experience and our welfare. I think where he was getting it from was D&C 98 or some scripture like that, but it made me think a little, I have had many trials in my life especially in the mission, but what I have realized is that the blessings that come from these hard times are greater every time I endure through a trial. So this is my Challenge for you all this week. That when you face a trial or a hardship, just try your very best to push through it and I promise that when you all do this that your blessings in the end will be amazing. Eu amo todos de voces. Tchau, ate o proximo!!!

My 19th year is underway!

Well this week went swell! I don´t have really that much to say in this letter, so it´ll be short today.

This first part of the week I got sick and I couldn´t leave the house tuesday or wednesday. It was a bit of a bummer.

On Monday a funny thing happened. We had americans here in Brasil, and I couldn´t talk to them because it´s been so long since I have had a conversation in english, so it was kind of funny to see that.

We made some new investigators this week. We finally found these three references of the Bishop and we are going to talk with them later and see if we can get them to be marked for baptism this next week. So that´ll be great.

I made 19 this last Friday as well as 9 months this last Tuesday so it´s been a party this week. I also got to see my Filho who just got back from his Mission because he was ``sick.´´

That´s all for this week. I thought for my message today it would be good to share a message that I sent from a really long time ago. The message is Moroni 7:40-END, of 7. It´s something that can really help all of us, and from what I am seeing from all of you, it is something that will help strengthen all of your guy´s work. EU AMO TODOS DE VOCÊS, vamos ter uma boa semana este semana! Tchau tchau!

A week for the weak...

Hey I think my cousin used this title on his email. It´s going to be really hard to send this email, because. Not much happened this week. We didn´t get as much work as we wanted to done, and as well as it was a sad Sunday, one of our investigators who got baptized didn´t come again to Church so we couldn´t confirm her again.

As well as the one that we interviewed to receive the Priesthood this week was out of town, so he couldn´t make it as well to receive the Priesthood.

This week we got some references from our Bishop, which made us happy, but unfortunately this week we weren´t able to find them.

This week was a week of running around for us. We had the opportunity to help out a lot of the missionaries in our district. We went and helped some Sisters in our district that were having struggles with their area. They had struggles because of the past Missionaries that were there. But we helped them with that and now they are doing well, and finding work after we showed some examples to them.

So this week was helping out a lot of people and this was a real strength to me because it just shows to me why I´m here, why we are all here. So my message today is in Mormon 8:14 and I exhort everyone to pay attention really well at what it says at the end of the verse, and to take it personally to you and how you can apply it. That´s all for this email. Eu amo todos de vocês! Tchau tchau!

Pictures!

Hello everyBODY!

This email is going to be very short. Not much really happened this week. We weren´t in our area for more than half the week. We were traveling to the other areas to do interviews and stuff for baptisms and interviews with Presidente Xavier Dias. (Apparently you have to write Xavier Dias, because the two names are his last name). Something really interesting that happened in that interview is that I will be a trainer this next transfer! So that´s going to be awesome! I´m excited, if there is anyone that I am emailing that has already trained, give me some pointers, because I need them. I also have some really good news, our Mission this month broke our goal for baptisms. We had 245 baptisms and confirmations! This is the first time in 1 year that our Mission has broken the goal for confirmations, so it was a real achievement for Missão João Pessoa! Well other than that, I don´t have really anymore to say. I guess I´ll leave my message now. This isn´t actually my message that I personally looked up, it was given to me by a good friend of mine, and it helped me out immensly, and I will never be grateful enough for that person that sent it, because it not only helped me but an investigator that I was teaching and that message is in Ether 12:4 it is such an amazing scripture, that I know can help all of you if you apply what it says, and I know that the blessings that you all recieve will be amazing from it as you apply it to your lives. That´s all for this email. Tchau tchau a gente!
